Profile
Christoph Arnold has more than 12 years of practical experience in the taxation of partnerships and corporations in group structures as well as natural persons.
In addition to providing support during tax audits and in appeal proceedings, a particular focus of his work is on tax-oriented tax structuring advice. In this context, he advises and supports companies, in particular in all questions of national and international turnover tax law. Further focal points of his activities are the preparation of tax opinions, the implementation of tax compliance management systems and the preparation of annual financial statements.
In addition, he has comprehensive and versatile specialist and industry knowledge in the taxation of utility companies (electricity, gas, water) as well as municipalities.
Mr. Arnold completed his studies in economics at the University of Hohenheim (Dipl.-Ökonom). During several years of employment with one of the four major accounting firms, he performed his consulting activities in companies of all sizes.
Carsten Schmid is founder of Transfer Pricing & Friends GmbH (2006) and has a Master degree in Economics (University Stuttgart-Hohenheim). Previous experience, among others, includes seven years of International Tax Law as the Head of International Tax Law in the Federation of German Industries (BDI) in Berlin.
From 2002 to 2006 Carsten acted as a lay judge at the Fiscal Court of Berlin-Brandenburg. He is German delegate of the tax committee of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in Paris and his network includes close contacts to the Business and Industry Advisory Committee to the OECD (BIAC), the EU Joint Transfer Pricing Forum (EU JTPF) at the European Commission in Bruxelles and to the German Ministry of Finance (BMF) in Berlin. Carsten Schmid is member of the European Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (EACVA).
